Replace climate-damaging graphite with sustainable CarbonScape biographite

Graphite is a major component of lithium-ion batteries used in EVs, smart technology and household appliances. Yet until now, focus on how we source graphite for our batteries has been largely neglected.

As market demand for lithium-ion batteries skyrockets, so too will the environmental cost because:

  • synthetic graphite is made using fossil fuels and environmentally destructive methods

  • natural graphite comes from non-renewable fossil carbon in the ground.

Clearly, a sustainable way to supply the world’s graphite had to be found.

We found it, and are bringing it to the world.

Disrupting the global graphite market

Growing global awareness around climate change and sustainable manufacturing practices are driving a mega-trend in electrification. This has seen unprecedented demand for energy storage systems in the form of lithium-ion batteries.

But currently, most of the world’s graphite is sourced from a long and centralised supply chain. If access to this pivotal resource is not secured, the largest growing anode markets will no longer be able to meet demand.

CarbonScape will disrupt this supply chain through localised production of biographite. Our patented technology can be applied wherever there are renewable feedstocks, guaranteeing sovereignty over the supply chain.
