Markus has worked in a variety of industries and roles around the world, from New Zealand to Norway.

In his native Germany, Markus studied Economics and Business Administration and worked in retail and landscape gardening.

The idea of being part of a company that used an abundant waste product to produce sustainable biographite for lithium-ion batteries appealed, and he joined CarbonScape’s production team in April 2023.
