Meg Sandalo

LABORATORY TECHNICIAN

Meg completed a mechanical trade with the Royal Australian Navy, working on hydrographic survey ships and patrol boats based out of Cairns in Far North Queensland.

On discharge from the Navy in 2013, she worked as a technical writer with BAE Systems for three years, producing planned maintenance documentation for the navy’s frigates based out of Sydney. From 2016 Meg worked as a technical, engineering and project administrator with focus on back-end operations administration.

Meg then moved to New Zealand and earned a Bachelor of Science in Molecular and Cellular Biology through Massey University. Eager to put both her mechanical trade and science background to work in an exciting new area of sustainability and innovation, she joined CarbonScape in 2022 as a pilot plant operator. In mid-2023, she moved to the scientific team as lab technician.
